With a Master of Music in Choral Conducting, certification as a Vocal Health First Aider, and over 15 years of teaching experience, Karen feels passionate about helping students achieve their vocal goals in a healthy, producive manner. She has a systematic approach to singng and utilizes many techniques to facilitate kinesthetic learning.

The developmental abilities of 3-5 year olds are very different than that of 6/7 year olds and older... for which most other piano programs are created. There are many different concepts that your preschool and early elementary students need to grasp before jumping into a “traditional” piano piece. Therefore, WunderKeys piano lessons are spent exploring the piano in ways in which they are capable. All lessons are geared towards having them understand everything they will need to know before being able to read notated music. It is the perfect way to lead into a mainstream book series... and a life of musical enjoyment! WunderKeys is a unique program in which your child will get a head start in music, math, and life. Student conductors are becoming more common in today's society and changing educational atmosphere. Often, students are thrown in front of a choir, band, or orchestra without any training as to how to lead and direct such an ensemble. Karen Lecky-Springer offers private coaching for those learning how to conduct an ensemble. All aspects from basic conducting patterns to programming and acceptable performance practices are covered in these sessions.
